The Story Behind Adkinsio
Adkinsio was founded on a simple observation: most businesses are given technology support, when what they actually need is technology looked after and thought ahead for. The difference is everything. One is waiting for things to break. The other is making sure they rarely do. We built Adkinsio to do the latter, properly, for businesses that depend on it.
Who we are
Adkinsio is a Midlands-based IT and security practice, founded and led by Ashley Adkins, a certified ISO 27001 Implementation Practitioner. Behind it sit twenty years at the serious end of UK cyber security: designing, securing and running systems across sectors where the tolerance for failure is close to zero.
That background shapes how we work with every client. Security isn't an add-on to our IT services; it's the foundation they're built on. And because we work with a deliberately small number of businesses, every client gets the same standard of attention, whether the day brings a strategic decision or a printer having opinions.
What we believe
A few convictions run through everything we do.
Technology should be quiet. If you're thinking about your IT, something's usually wrong with it. Our measure of success is how little our clients need us urgently.
Advice should be independent. We recommend what your business needs, and that's the beginning and end of it. Our independence is why clients trust our answers.
Relationships should outlast projects. Most of our clients have been with us for over a decade. We think that's the only IT metric that can't be gamed.
