🎤 This Tiny Teams Tweak Will Make Your Meetings Smoother
Ever sat in a Teams meeting and winced every time someone said, “Next slide, please”?
Same here 😬
If your business relies on online meetings or webinars, you’ll know how awkward handovers between presenters can slow things down and break the flow.
🆕 Good news: Microsoft Teams has a fix on the way
It’s a small update — but one that could make a big difference to how your meetings run.
Let’s rewind for a second…
Microsoft Teams is the all-in-one communication platform many businesses use for:
💻 Video calls
💬 Chat and collaboration
📁 File sharing
📅 Scheduling meetings
Whether your team is remote, hybrid or all in the same building, Teams keeps everyone connected without the need to juggle multiple apps.
👥 Co-presenters can now control slides
Until now, only one person could control the presentation slides in a Teams meeting. That meant everyone else had to keep asking the presenter to move them forward.
👉 Not ideal
👉 Not smooth
👉 Definitely not professional
But now, Microsoft is rolling out a feature that allows multiple people to control the slides.
That means:
🎯 Seamless handovers
🎯 No more “Next slide, please”
🎯 Everyone presenting can take control at the right moment
It’s especially useful when you’ve got different team members leading different sections of a presentation. You’ll no longer need to interrupt the flow or rely on one person clicking through the whole deck.
🚀 Rolling out now on Windows
The feature is starting to roll out on the Windows desktop version of Teams, with co-presenters selected when setting up the meeting. It should be a simple, straightforward process — just how we like it 👍
Honestly, this is the kind of feature that should’ve been added years ago. But hey, better late than never.
And it joins other recent updates like:
✍️ Real-time messaging during calls (perfect for quiet environments)
🔔 Smarter notifications and layout improvements
🔒 Tighter integration with Microsoft 365 tools
